38 USACE districts
Every nationwide permit authorisation is reviewed by the US Army Corps of Engineers district with jurisdiction over the project site. The 38 districts below are grouped into their 8 divisions.
District boundaries follow watershed and river-basin lines, not state lines. A single state can span several districts, and a single district can cover parts of several states. Because of that, PermitBird deliberately holds no state-to-district lookup table: a state code alone is not enough to identify the right district, and guessing one would be worse than not answering. Use the district office site, or a project's exact location against a district boundary map, to find the right one.
Regional conditions are not yet compiled for any of the 38 districts.

A regional condition can narrow a nationwide permit, add a notification requirement, or revoke a permit entirely inside district boundaries, so confirm directly with the district office before relying on a federal-layer-only determination.
